It is true that in Eastern Europe there are hundreds of thousands of Christians attending Brethren, Baptist, Pentecostal, or other Evangelical churches. These believers have given their hearts to the Lord, read their Bibles and pray. But, it is false to say that the majority of them know how to live in a dynamic relationship with Christ which goes beyond following religious rules.

p1-quoteAs the testimonies in this update show, when believers struggle with unforgiveness, resentment or guilt, their relationships suffer also.

When a godly woman has not fully grasped what it means to be forgiven by God and does not know how to forgive others, then she continues to live in misery and alienation. When a new Christian, whose marriage was wrecked by his lack of responsibility, fails to ask God for forgiveness and discernment, he has no chance of rebuilding his life.

Without our support, unequipped believers who do not know how to apply God’s Word to their daily lives, can lose sight of their calling, their hope—and what’s worse—can be robbed of the joy and freedom of living in Christ. But, with DPM’s resources at hand, they can receive God’s truths in new ways for the first time. Your generous gift toward our outreaches in Eastern Europe can change a lifetime of struggles into a lifetime of freedom and blessings.

p1-girlsBefore receiving the “Barriers to Blessing” teaching letter via e-mail, Mary had a heavy heart filled with bitterness towards her ex-husband, father and sister. But, as she began reading the teaching letter she felt that her spiritual eyes were open once again. She realised that she could not fully experience the joy of forgiveness because she had not forgiven the people who had hurt her so deeply.

Thanking God for this teaching, she decided to forgive those who held her captive through her bitterness, trusting God to fill her with His peace. All that Mary wants to do is to keep praising God even more!
