2009 is Upon Us

I can hardly believe that the New Year is here and that I have just less than four months to finish my London Marathon preparation.

In mid-December, I took a couple of days off to spend with my family who had come to visit from abroad and on the first day I dutifully went for a run.  About 5kms in on my 7km route, I didn't feel too good and my right knee was slightly painful so I decided to walk home.

By the evening I was feeling much worse so I excused myself from the table where we had guests and went to bed early. Two weeks later, I am still recovering from a terrible virus and haven't managed to run since.

I think that I will put on my running shoes this weekend and go for a short run, just to remind my body that there is work to be done. For all the intercessors out there, I had no idea what a battle it would be running the marathon for a godly cause and would welcome your prayer support.

I will endeavour to give an update again next week.

Thanks for praying and giving.
