Do You Realise How Valuable You Are?

Prior to listening and absorbing the truth within this teaching, I was almost oblivious to the

deep-seated struggles and state of denial that I had been living in. I wanted to respond sooner but a series of circumstances befell me in order to teach me just how much I undervalued, self-loathed and self-sabotaged myself.

In essence my upbringing, academic and working career has taught me acceptance based on performance. Until recently my relationship with Jesus Christ has been based on - 'if I do this then your word says - you will do [x]' But now, I realise the most amazing truth - that if I were the only pearl in the world - He would have died just for me. I realise now what Paul meant when he said ' By grace ye are saved; not by works'.

Jesus has chosen me - just for me! I am beautiful in His sight and His sight is the only sight that matters - Glory to God! There are days that I still struggle in my flesh, - the battle of my mind - that remind me that I am unworthy, unqualified and undeserving; but I counter those arguments by watering the seed of truth within me that no man can take away - what the Almighty created, formed. He loves me and in His Sight He saw me and I was GOOD! 

How Do You View Your Body?

When I first received this CD, I automatically thought it was going to be another motivational talk about why you shouldn't destroy your body. I soon realised how wrong I was. This message has impacted me more then I could of ever imagined.

The responsibility to take care, nurture and protect God's temple in the form of my body is so important. No one takes into consideration that our health is a big factor in our daily worship. Even thought I live in England, the facts he had concerning the USA were shocking, fun and informative. I now know it's up to us to take control of the way we handle our dietary plans.

Since listening to this word I have taken up jogging. I do not want to disappoint God and destroy this beautiful body he has given me. We forget that being a Christian is to do with every part of our lives. So many times we forget that it is more then a spiritual thing and that we have to take practical steps. Watching and caring for our bodies, God's temple, is just one of the many. Hopefully this CD will impact many more people.

The Holy Spirit in You

At a time where I needed guidance on the full role of the Holy spirit this book came as a great reference, I love Gods perfect timing. The Holy spirit is a much under valued person of the Trinity and we forget his important role in the world and our lives. This book has helped remember the full benefits the Holy Spirit brings to the the believer. We are so privileged, unlike in the old testament the Holy spirit is ever present in us when we become Christians and follow God.

We have a divine helper in us with all the power and wisdom of God. The Holy Spirit will help us reach the potential God desires for us. The Holy Spirit helps us in so many ways, I have heard many Christians say that they wish they had 5 mins with Jesus. We have the Holy Spirit in us who is with us and helps and guides us in so many ways and we easily forget this.

The Holy Spirit enriches our spiritual lives, I have found great revelation when following the spirits leading the bible, things that I have never thought of spring to mind for me to contemplate and think on. When we allow the Holy spirit to guide us we truly live. It is sad to think that many denominations today play down the role of the Holy Spirit and his gifts.

In a prayer meeting recently I really felt called to pray I was unsure but so great was the feeling inside I knew I had to do it, so I asked for God to give me the words and through the Holy Spirit he gave me an accurate powerful prayer. That was something I know I couldn't have done on my own and I am just a channel for God to use, to him be the glory.

With a series that my church were doing on faith and healing the chapter on what the Holy Spirit provides us with was timely and useful. I have to admit that the whole area for me is hard to fully grasp and get my head round. I know we like Jesus and the apostles and disciples have the power to heal, and there is great physical provision for believers as we face life's tests. I know that I am miles away in my character and personality from where I was before I was a Christian. The Holy Spirit has helped me change opened my eyes to so many things, and shown me love and how to love others. As I meet and and mentor younger Christians I will be very aware of the need to help them grasp everything the Holy Spirit can do in there lives. It is so important that we use this amazing helper we have been given and use all of His benefits!!
