You might not know a great deal about the Apostolic (Orthodox) Church of Armenia but God is doing some amazing things amongst its believers using Derek Prince’s life-transforming Bible teaching.

In a recent e-mail, Gayane, an evangelist worker of Campus Crusade for Christ in Armenia, shared how God has used Derek’s teaching to lead her to a deeper understanding of His character and power. Now Gayane uses Derek’s books as tools for outreach among non-believers and for encouragement to believers in the churches where she ministers.

Just last month she gave God’s Medicine Bottle to a lady from the Armenian Apostolic Church whose husband was suffering from a chronic illness. Now you have to understand that the Apostolic Church does not easily accept any Charismatic teaching.

So, not having received any teaching about God’s healing power, this lady and her husband were skeptical towards Derek’s teaching. But, as they began reading God’s Medicine Bottle they soon discovered how to use God’s Word as a tool for healing. Now they are eagerly asking for more of Derek’s books and encouraging others in their church to benefit from his insights.

“This is just one example,” says Gayane, “of how God is answering our prayers for bringing forth new life in the Apostolic Church of Armenia.” She is using Derek’s books to open doors for ministry and discipleship amongst hundreds of Armenian believers who are hungry for solid spiritual food and deeper communion with God.

Thanks to your generosity, during the last five years, we have translated and distributed nine Derek Prince books in the Armenian language including God’s Medicine Bottle and The Divine Exchange. Today hundreds of Armenian leaders - from radical Charismatics to Baptist ministers to Orthodox priests - are using Derek’s teaching to increase the effectiveness of their outreach and discipleship activities, for counselling the bereaved and for growing spiritually healthy churches.

This year, as we continue to serve and strengthen believers in Armenia, we want to print and distribute 3,000 copies of Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose! in the Armenian language. The total cost of this project is £2,500 and the translation work has already started.

I am really excited about this opportunity of making Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose! available to believers in Armenia. Time and again I have seen the significant impact this book has had in other countries of the former Soviet Union in setting believers free from whatever holds them captive to the past, inspiring them to witness to their friends and neighbours and mobilising them for service.

Churches led by Armenian pastors and missionaries are growing strong not only in Armenia, but also in Turkey, Iran and other parts of the world. By making Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose! available in Armenian, we can equip and enable the wider community of believers to enjoy the fullness of life in Christ and share God’s blessing with others around them.
