I was recently reminded of one of the less known, yet highly practical teachings from Derek Prince entitled The First Mile. So, I picked up a copy of The First Mile from my bookshelf and read it again. God really touched my heart through this teaching so I decided to send a copy of this booklet to you instead of our regular Teaching Letter. Like me you probably have heard many sermons on ‘walking the second mile’ but perhaps, not too many on the first mile. As Derek points out, walking the first mile of daily duties and responsibilities is sometimes overlooked by Christians or becomes a hard thing to do. But, if it were not for the first mile of duty, there would be no possibility of the second mile of love.
