I have had all of Derek Prince's teachings on tapes, and this is one of my favorites. It builds one faith as we see ourselves united with Christ. It always helps my faith to know He took my sins and gives me His holiness and stays with me to release grace in all my circumstances. One time I had been praying the scriptural rosary for a year meditating on the life of Christ, Who He is and what the gospels tells us about Him. I became very convicted about how I had been living. I had been sinned against when my mother gave me to the Asst. Pastor of the Assemblies of God church on my 18th Birthday after I came home from church that day. He told me that if I say that I have to be married to surrender myself, then I am being carnal and not spiriutal. I had transfered my mother's authority over to him, as she put me in his hands. He put me in an apartment with another girl whose father put her out. After he got what he wanted he said we were not really married, and he really loved another girl, the pastor's daughter. I thought we were though we didn't have the certificate. He said wanting the certificate is putting the flesh above Christ. Anyway it was extremely harmful to me. After praying the rosary a year, Jesus came as though made out of crystal, with the crown of thorns on His head. He knelt down in front of me, spread my legs apart and laid his head on my chest as a husband would do. He said, "marry me, I took your sin, and I give you my holiness."
This teaching by Derek Prince on Identification will illuminate Jesus taking our sin and giving us His holiness. I have always felt that each tape I have of His is worth a million dollarss. As I have been alone each Christmas thinking about other people celebrating with family, I am alone with Jesus and the wonderful light on Him poured through Derek Prince.
