Cambodia: pastor travels with a bulldozer to attend seminar

In May, we organized a seminar for local pastors in the Stuen Trang province. We began at 8:30 a.m., and we were so impressed that some pastors left home at 5:00 a.m., traveling long hours, and another pastor who is disabled and, in a wheelchair, traveled with a bulldozer just to join the seminar!

This was our second visit since 2018 to the Stueng Trang province, which is situated in the northeast of Cambodia and borders Laos. The province is over 400 km from Phnom Penh and the road is rough, but there are pastors from local churches who are waiting for us for our encouragement.

This seminar focused on Derek’s book By Grace Alone, a very fundamental topic, but from our experience, many people get very confused on this topic. Five of us worked very hard preparing this lesson as we wanted to give our best to the local churches. We divided into small groups for discussion, during which a lot of questions were raised and some of the attendees stood up to share the revelation they received from this book. Just some of the questions raised were….

  • What is the main purpose of the temptation in the Garden of Eden?
  • How does the law stir up and strengthen sin?
  • Why we can't live under the law and under grace at the same time?

After the seminar, even our team very much appreciated and saw anew a very high value in what Jesus has done on the cross for us. Praise to the name of Jesus Christ.

Many thanks for your support in prayer and giving!
