Impact report: 20 years of ministry in Nepal
We were delighted to receive this brief report from pastor Gopaljee from Nepal. For 20 years Pastor Gopaljee has served Derek’s ministry without any wages received from DPM and with a passion to do all he can to get Derek’s books into the hands of tens of thousands of leaders and believers all over Nepal. He wrote:
On 19th November, 40 students from Gospel for Asia received Derek’s books. At Kakarbhitta, an eastern border town, we provided 10 Bible school students with the Self Study Bible Course.
We have been contacted from Gulf countries where Nepali people are working. A Pastor from far west Nepal will be coming shortly to receive Derek’s books from us so that he can distribute them to the pastors in that area.
The Pastors and Principals of the Bible colleges in Kathmandu also requalarly request books and we provide them promptly.
I am honoured to be part of Derek Prince Ministries, by which we are able to spread the great teaching of Derek Prince. His books have reached almost every district of Nepal and beyond.
Since Gopaljee first started serving Derek’s ministry in late 1996, he has facilitated the translation, checking and printing of over 600,000 Derek Prince Nepali books. Of these, a good number have been sold in small shops at four locations across Nepal, with all sales proceeds used to pay for the people involved and the costs of distribution, whilst about 400,000 have been given away to churches; Bible schools and believers all over Nepal.
We would like to congratulate Pastor Gopaljee and his wife, Ganga, for the huge amount of excellent work they have put into helping make Derek one of the most popular Bible teachers in Nepal. We bless you both for your amazing 20 years of service to DPM International missions and the work of building up the body of Christ in Nepal.
