Philippines: Self-Study Bible Course helps to disciple students

Spain introduced (Roman Catholic) Christianity to the Philippines in 1565 with the arrival of Miguel Lopez de Legaspi. Earlier, beginning in 1350, Islam had been spreading northward from Indonesia into the Philippine archipelago. Today, many Philippines are part of the Roman Catholic church. However, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit is something completely different.

This January we were blessed to lead 300 high school students to the Lord. One of their teachers is now using Derek's Self-Study Bible Course in Tagalog to disciple and teach those who are eager to know more.

A pastor with three churches told us recently that everyone in the churches is using the Self-Study Bible Course in Tagalog and will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
