What is it about Derek Prince’s teaching that has really impacted you?

When I posed this question to Elsie Daniel, our DPM Outreach Director for India, she said she was most impacted by the profoundness and simplicity of his Bible teaching.

Elsie came across Derek’s teaching in the 1990s.  At that time, she and her husband Danny were young pastors who did not have mature Bible teachers around them. Derek’s books were like “a light in the darkness”—to guide and equip them for effective ministry.

You too might feel the same as Elsie does about Derek’s teaching. It may have also helped you unlock the power of God’s Word in your life.

But there is one difference between you and me, and Indian pastors like Elsie and Danny—You and I can easily access Derek Prince’s Bible teaching in our own language. They cannot.

Today, there are countless pastors, evangelists, Bible college students, and churches in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal who:

  • struggle to understand the Bible because the majority of church leaders are not adequately trained to teach God’s Word to others.
  • lack access to free Bible teaching that can help them set a solid foundation, and teach them to discern falsehood from truth.
  • don’t know how to help those who are bound and seeking deliverance from demonic strongholds.
  • are unable to experience the fullness of life with Christ because of limited understanding of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

That's why, in addition to providing free Bible teaching resources, Elsie and her team also host a wide range of conferences using Derek’s teaching. This is how God is using Derek’s teaching to help pastors minister more effectively.

When God has blessed you to experience the fullness of life in Christ by using Derek’s Bible teaching, please consider making a gift to help our brothers and sisters in the Indian Subcontinent to experience the same.

Thank you for your generosity and your prayers for DPM’s outreaches in the Indian Subcontinent.

Testimony - India

Rajesh leads a growing church in South India and has a strong deliverance ministry. A few months ago, he attended a DPM–India Outreach conference.

He knew that his deliverance ministry had become stuck, but he did not understand the reasons for this blockage. At the conference, Rajesh received teaching from Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose and realized that he could be dealing with unbroken curses that were stopping people from receiving full deliverance.

He read Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose several times, and used the principles Derek outlines in this book to shape his deliverance ministry in a new way.

Today God is using Rajesh to minister more effectively to people seeking deliverance from idolatry, generational curses, and other issues that affect believers in India.

Report from conference in Bholpur, West Bengal - Elsie and Danny

When we were invited by the Ascent to Life Ministries to partner with them in taking Derek’s teaching into West Bengal, we gladly agreed. But little did we know that we headed out into one of the most interior regions of West Bengal and to a large group of people who had followed Jesus from the Santali people tribe that is found largely in Orissa and West Bengal.

As I began to teach, I realised that most of these people had very, very little knowledge of the Bible. So I had to step down my level of teaching to make it easily understandable.

The first session complete and people’s faces began to light up. They now did not want to leave, even if we gave them a break, and they came back before we did at the end of the break. The hunger was evident and it was a joy to satisfy their hungry souls.

Not being able to complete the sessions in a day, I asked them to return the next day which they gladly did, bringing more people with them. So the women’s meeting turned into a “plus Pastors and leaders” meeting and we taught on Causes for Curses and Steps to Release.

At the end we led them in prayer to break curses over their lives and the response was tremendous. We could feel that this is where the teaching was needed more than anywhere we have been in India.

That being done, we were ready to close the meeting. But this is India!

And we can’t close without laying hands on each and every person. So the next two hours were spent in praying for various diseases. Many demons were cast out. One tribal woman went flat out on the floor like she was dead for almost 20 minutes. But when she was able to rise again, she was completely free!

Each Pastor/leader was given a copy of the Life Changing Spiritual Power book in Bengali along with copies of Self Study Bible Course to train their church Elders. We left with great joy – but before we left we had to promise that we would come back again next year with more teaching! Praise God for the harvest ahead!

DPM Orphans Christmas Party

Elsie and Danny, DPM-India directors celebrated the annual DPM Orphans Christmas Party on the 2nd of December, 2017. This year they had a huge turnout of more than 450 children from various homes and orphanages and their caretakers as well.

The children, needless to say enjoy every minute they spend at the programme. After all the fun and laughter was also a thought-provoking puppet show that ended with a message: Christmas is all about Jesus, who was born that He might save us from our sins and give us a hope and a future!

Well received by the children, who then prayed asking Jesus to come into their lives and bless them – each day of the year ahead.

Following the Orphans Christmas Party, our team has also been out visiting with Spastic Children who form Phase II of our Christmas outreach. So a total of more than 800 children reached this year. The joy with which we are received, the smiles all around and the responses we receive are a priceless reward that money cannot buy!
